COVID Christmas (feat. Master Puff)

Christmas time, 2020.

It’s been quite a year.

Looking back ain’t it funny,

I can’t believe I’m here.

Families, living strange

Six feet apart.

Sanitize, all your gifts

Before the giving starts.

It’s a COVID Christmas,

Happy new year.

It’s a COVID Christmas,

Hope you brought the beer.

Dinner time, used to be simple,

Just pass me the ham.

Last year, Might be trivial.

2020 what a sham.

It’s a COVID Christmas,

Happy new year.

It’s a COVID Christmas,

Hope you brought the beer.

And she's the strongest woman I ever knew,

Her wrinkled skin is a map folding into the shape of mountains she's conquered.

Still, her hands could hardly be considered paper weights on her till.

She fills the air with familiar winter time tunes every December,

But would I make it a mile in her shoes.

It must be exhausting to bring Christmas spirit in such an uncertain world.

Every person could bring the end,

But at the end of the day she rather turn strangers into her friends.

Like daytime turns into night,

Like water from the river finds the ocean she pushes forward until it all comes together.

I asked her about her courage and why she persists

And with a smile no mask could hide, she said,

"I don't give f*** about this goddamn virus. You got me f***ed up"

It’s a COVID Christmas,

Happy new year.

It’s a COVID Christmas,

Hope you brought the beer.
