-The Western Mile- By: Davey Squires
I’m driving the western mile for my redemption And I’m storing some cargo I forgot to mention. Running on four hours sure builds up the tension, But the sunrise in the east gets my attention.
Black and blue this one’s for you.
Don’t get your feelings too misconstrued.
Back on the turnpike I turn the radio up, The sounds of 90’s alternative grunge.
I head out from Aurora all the way to Akron. About nineteen hour of driving action.
They’ll ask you who is your friend,
And how much money did they lend?
And if you dare get caught you’ll never cross that border again.
Black and blue this one’s for you.
Don’t get your feelings too misconstrued.
So I take interstate 80 to get back home east. Handing over the rental care to the lease.
I’m driving the eastern mile for my redemption, And I’m storing some cargo I forgot to mention.
