Omaha Streetcar Update 🚊

PRESS RELEASE: ‘The Omaha Streetcar Authority (OSA) passed a resolution to hire a private company with prior streetcar experience, which will be hired to help the city implements its system. 

The latest report from interim director Gustafson says operations begin in spring 2027. But Gustafson said Monday that officials are still deliberating. Variables include vehicle delivery, weather, and system testing.

"The design, color and other details will depend on the chosen manufacturer chosen and other vehicle specifications that have not been determined," the Omaha Streetcar Authority said.’
